Dr. Chukwuemeka Jude Diji

Dr. Chuks. J. Diji, attended the University of Ife now Obafemi Awolowo University, IIe – Ife, Nigeria from October 1982 to July 1987 and obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree (B.Sc) in Mechanical Engineering in 1987. He Obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria in 1997 and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Mechanical Engineering, with specialization in Energy Studies from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria in January, 2008. During his youth service in the Old Oyo state, Dr. Diji worked with a water drilling and prospecting company, the SOAG Drilling Company based in IIe – Ife as a Mechanical engineer. He also worked as a Production Manager with the Beta Industries Nigeria Limited (a subsidiary of the Leventis Group) from February 1989 to October, 1996. Between May and July 1997, he worked as the factory manager of the Tolaram Clay Bricks (Nig) ltd, Ikorodu, Lagos. Dr. Diji is a Senior Member of the International Association of Computer Science and information Technology (IACSIT) and a Member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE). He is also a registered Engineer, with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). He is also a member of The Nigerian Economic Society (NES), The International/National Association of Energy Economics (IAEE/NAEE), The Solar Energy Society of Nigeria (SESN) and The Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers (NiMech). He is the Secretary of the Nigerian Chapter of the African Roundtable on Sustainable Consumption and Production (ARSCP) and a member of Nigerian Environmental Study Team (NEST). In 1994, Dr. Diji was awarded the NSE price for contribution to Engineering in Nigeria and in 2008 was awarded the best PhD thesis of the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria. Dr. Diji has been at the forefront of Entrepreneurial education and Energy studies and has served as a member of the management committee of the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation and currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Centre. He is also the Course coordinator of the ETR 301 course titled Basic Entrepreneurship and Innovation and the coordinator of the Oyo state chapter of the Nigerian Enterprise Educators Network (NEEN). With regards to Energy studies, He was the pioneer coordinator of the Masters of Science professional degree in Energy Management and Technology of the department of mechanical engineering of the University of Ibadan.
